This article examines methods for treating wastewater generated in the city of Baku and its surrounding residential areas, as well as ways to utilize this water resource for the establishment of forest plantations on vacant lands located on the Absheron Peninsula . Against the backdrop of a potential water shortage resulting from the depletion of water reserves in the streams feeding the Samur-Absheron Canal system due to global climate change, the paper emphasizes the need for more efficient use of the wastewater reserves generated in the region. It is considered appropriate to collect this water reserve and use it for the irrigation of oak forestry to be planted around industrial zones.
