VAPOUR ADSORPTION REFRIGERATION : WORKINGANDDESIGN
Vapour adsorption refrigeration works on the principle of adsorption and Desorption. Adsorption and Desorption are surface phenomenon. Generally, adsorbate is adsorbed on the surface of Adsorbent, this process can be reverted by applying heat to the adsorbent. There are many adsorbate such as Methanol, Water, Ammonia and adsorbent such as activated carbon, activated carbon fiber, Silica-gel, Zeolite. The pair of adsorbent and adsorbate is called working pair. Different kind of working pair gives different results. Literature review suggests that around 0.25 to 0.5 coefficient of performance(COP) can be achieved. It has relatively low COP but it has advantage that it runs on low grade energy such as heat waste, solar energy, etc. This article include working cycle, design of components and calculation of Vapour Adsorption Refrigeration cycle.

Investigation For Curling Stress In Self Compacting Concrete Pavement
A Highway asphalt is a construction comprising of . layers .materials over the regular soil layer. In India, adaptable asphalts are liked for street development because of lower development expenses and expedient development when contrasted with inflexible asphalts. However, the maintenance costs of the rigid pavements are relatively lower as compared to the maintenance costs of flexible pavements. The rigid pavements are constructed by casting cement concrete slabs over dry lean concrete or granular sub-bases. The cement concrete pavements are designed to withstand traffic loads and environmental loads during its service life. The environmental factors that are considered in the concrete pavement analysis are temperature, humidity, precipitation and frost/heave. The stresses induced in the concrete pavements on account of daily temperature variation are termed as curling stress. The curling stresses are as important as axle loads in the concrete pavement analysis as they alone can trigger the failure of the cement concrete pavements. The rigid pavements are constructed with normally vibrated concrete. Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is preferred over normal concrete mainly due to improved mechanical properties and speed of construction. Due to environmental regulations and concerns, the use of natural river sand in concrete manufacture is becoming impractical and obsolete. Nowadayscrushed sand is widely used in concrete manufacturing process. Hence, the properties of SCC mix prepared with natural sand and crushed sand were tested in the present research. SCC is a concrete with high binder content, which poses a effect on the properties of SCC were also investigated. In the present study, 20% Class C fly ash dosage as a cement replacement material was obtained through experimental trials. The thermal properties of concrete are influenced by the thermal properties of the matrix and aggregate phase. The coarse and fine aggregates utilised in the current investigation were of granitic origin. When compared to concrete made with aggregates of various minerals, the thermal characteristics of concrete made with granite based aggregates are quite high. The effect of perlite, a well-known insulating substance, as a fine aggregate substitute on the The characteristics of SCC mix were also investigated. The dosage of 5% perlite as a fine aggregate replacement material was evaluated experimentally in this study.

A STUDY ON BARRIERS OF SOCIAL PARTICIPATION AMONG DISABLED YOUTH AND SOCIAL WORKER INTERVENTION
Disability is the consequence of an impairment that may be physical, cognitive, mental, sensory, emotional, developmental, or some combination of these. A disability may be present from birth, or occur during a person's lifetime. There is an evidence of a consistent negative representation of impairment and disability, prior to the emergence of modern capitalism. These earlier representations run in three main themes: Cultural Understanding, Religious Belief and Myth. The Social Representations of disability were negative `It is a common myth that impairment is a punishment for sin. Killing of babies with impairments was common practice in societies. The disabled had difficulty in asserting their rights and dignity as an individual. They lack physical and intellectual fitness which in turn hurdle their participation in this world. They were physically, psychologically and verbally abused because of their impairments. For people with hidden impairments, life was harsh and unrelenting one. It is also recorded that people of small stature or ‘dwarves’ were treated as the objects of amusement by the crowd. Despite the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act and evolving of humanity, there are still many strong discriminatory barriers facing disabled people in society. Disabled people continue to be more likely to live in poverty and lie outside the usual economic framework of everyday employment. The fundamental assumption that disabled people need to live on benefit and are in need of care distorts their real value. The marginalization of people with disabilities has often been addressed in terms of sociological processes or legislative needs, but very rarely in psychological terms within society. It is also intriguing that children with born impairments were systematically removed from society. This reflects some present-day law about termination of impaired fetuses. This is not to undermine a woman’s right to choose, which is essential. However, it is worthy of note that impairment is singled out as a special case. It is often the case that potential parents of disabled children are given the most negative prognosis and life scenario.

LAND USE / LAND COVER CHANGES AND ESTIMATION OF SURFACE RUNOFF OF KRS CATCHMENT: CAUVERY BASIN, KARNATAKA.
The availability of the water resource in a catchment depends upon the integrity of the land use, terrain and meteorological parameters such as rainfall, temperature, etc. KRS Catchment in the Cauvery basin covers an area of 10,957 Km2 was taken up for the study. The study was conducted in order to understand the changes of Land use /Land cover and their impacts on the watershed and to estimates the runoff calculation using SCS-CN method, which is mainly used for estimating infiltration characteristics of the watershed, based on the land use property and soil property and it is widely used as a simple method for predicting direct runoff volume for a given rainfall event. In the present study, the methodology for assessing the land use/ land cover changes and determination of runoff for KRS Catchment using Remote Sensing, GIS and SCS method was described. Analysis of the land use/land cover revealed the changes taken part from 2006 to 2017. Major changes were from forest and barren land to agriculture, built up and water bodies. The SW Monsoon rainfall and land use data were used along with the experimental data of soil classification for the estimation of the runoff for the study area. The result shows excess runoff and low infiltration take places mostly in the month of July followed by June, august and lowest runoff on the month of September. This will help for watersheds planning of various conservations measures.

A hybrid methodology for optimizing MIG welding process parametersin joining of dissimilar metals
In this paper application of Taguchi and Grey relational analysis methodologies in determining optimal process parameters for MIG Welding are presented. Taguchi method is widely used in designing the optimal experiments, while grey relation analysis is useful in decision making when multiple criteria’s are considered, this combination serves as an effective tool in determining the optimal parameters of the pro- cess. In the present work welding current, voltage, speed, bevel angle were considered as input parameters in joining two dissimilar metals (AISI1044 & AISI1018), as these influence the output characteristics like tensile strength and hardness, these parameters need to be optimized.
