The formal definition of the concept of maxima and minima, due to its dynamic essence, is perfectly understandable by visual representation through software tools. This paper presents the classical teaching approach supported by Geogebra, for teaching and learning very specific and subtle criteria which distinguish concept maxima and minima of functions of multi variables compared to the concept of maxima and minima of function of single variable. Without this software tool, in the graphic terms, it would not be possible that students make the distinction between sophisticated class maxima and minima of multivariable and the maxima and minima of single variable. Also, the contribution of this paper is presentation some specifics examples to better understanding the concept of maxima and minima of the function pertaining to single and multi variables at the college levels on the interactive and visual way.

Authentication and identification has become a big challenge in this fast growing world. The traditional method of identifying an individual includes PIN number, user name, password etc., and those techniques are easily duplicated, misused or shared. To avoid the above pitfalls, biometric comes into existence. Biometric system is an automatic identification of an individual using their physiological or behavioral traits. These biometric traits are stored in the database digitally. Nowadays, since data breach has become quite common, leakage of these biometric traits has a direct impact on the individual. Hence, the biometric traits are secured using one of the information hiding techniques named digital watermarking. Robustness and imperceptibility are the two predominant factors of watermarking system. In this article, multimodal biometric traits such as fingerprint and iris are fused using Gradient Pyramid algorithm (GP).This fused biometric template acts as watermark. The watermark is then embedding into the cover image, Lena of size 256X256. Whale optimization algorithm (WOA) is used to find the optimum position to embed the watermark in order to improve the robustness of the watermark. Performance of WOA is measured using the performance measures such as Peak-Signal-Noise-Ratio (PSNR), Normalized cross correlation (NCC) and Structural Similarity Index (SSIM).The algorithm is more robust when compared with other existing algorithms with a PSNR of 90.3420 SSIM as 1 and NC as 1

In N.O.C links or various interconnections power dissipation contribute to major fraction. In fact, as technology shrinks, the power contribute of NoC links starts to compete with that of NoC routers. In this paper, we design link I , II , III with the help of MUX gating and various encoding techniques to reduce both power dissipation and energy consumption of NoC links .In this work ,we try to reduce power consumption in NoC links in three ways : Mux gating ,coding and encoding techniques . This paper analyzes the behavior of Link design I,II,III in the highly structured environment of a network-on-chip (NoC).. After simulations , we obtain a reduction in total power dissipation and number of bit transitions up to 35% and 40%, respectively, without any significant degradation in terms of both performance and silicon area.

Electricity is the basic need of human beings. Per capita consumption of any country indicates in progressiveness. In India, the demand of electricity is as well as installed capacity is growing steadily. India has been facing power shortage during peak hour demand because electricity demand is grown at 10% per yearly. Still the research is going on to overcome the technical challenges associated with the development of small hydro power generation like selection of generator and turbine. In this paper the experimental study of different types of turbines and their blade configuration is carried out. The study has been carried out is totally an experiment. The result is totally based on experiments done on various floor of hostel building. Comparative efficiency of various types of turbines has been studied along with their respective heads applied, discharge, blades angle. This study is an initiation in India towards the utilization of water flow in closed pipe to generate electricity. In this paper the best anle of turbine blade is suggested.

A topological index has a vital role in molecular chemistry. There are various topological descriptors in theoretical chemistry in particular; degree- based topological indices, distance-based, eccentricity- based and counting related indices of graphs. In this paper, we have obtained analytical expressions for various variants of eccentricity based indices such as first and second multiplicative Zagreb eccentricity indices, total eccentric index, connective eccentric index, Ediz eccentric connectivity index, modified and augmented eccentric connectivity indices and their respective polynomials of polygonal cylinder.

Strength And Durability Study On Partial Replacement Of Fine Aggregate In Concrete By Using Bottom Ash

Authors: P. Umamaheswari, M. Mariappan
Page No: 43-48
View Abstract
Concrete is widely used as a construction material in modern society with the growth in urbanization and industrialization and the demand for concrete is increasing day by day. This study reviews the characteristics of Concrete incorporated with Bottom Ash as partial replacement for fine aggregates, with a main focus on the mechanical properties such as Compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and flexural strength. This study is done on M25 grade concrete. The cubes, cylinders were casted and tested at 7, 14 and 28 days. The beams were casted and tested at 7 and 28 days. Fine aggregate is replaced with bottom ash by 10%, 20%, 30% in concrete. Raw bottom ashes, which are residues from coal thermal power plant, pose an enormous disposal problem and environmental load. The optimum result obtained from the replacement of 20% of bottom ash in concrete attained a maximum high strength than conventional concrete

The present paper focuses on Swami Vivekananda’s philosophy of transcendentalism and spiritualism. Swami was a great philosopher and social reformer of the 19th century. There was a great impact of Emerson, Thoreau, Whitman, and others on the mind of Swami Vivekananda. He entered American soil and encountered the Transcendental Movement which was based on an adapted and modified version of the “Transcendental Idealism”. He visited many American transcendentalists and influenced by their transcendental and spiritual ideas. He addressed philosophical lessons to the people of the world through his lectures and writings.
