Density (), viscosity (5) and Ultrasonic velocity (U) of the binary mixture of 1, 4- Dioxane and Ethyl formate were measured over entire composition range. These measurements were done at constant temperature 303 K and at frequency 1MHZ. These were used to evaluate various acoustic parameters such as intermolecular free length (ƒ), intermolecular free volume (ƒ), internal pressure (i), Wada’s constant (W) and specific acoustic impedance (Z).In addition to these thermo-acoustic parameters excess parameters were computed. These are excess intermolecular free length (), excess free volume (), ƒ ƒ excess internal pressure () and excess specific acoustic impedance ( ). These parameters have been interpreted in terms of intermolecular interactions at frequency 1MHZ and at constant temperature 303K

COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF MODIFIED SHE-PSO PWM AND LS-PWM TECHNIQUES

Authors: V. Ramu, Dr. P. Satish Kumar, Dr. G.N. Srinivas

To address the issues of the multilevel inverters with better performance and efficiency there has been increased advancements with level shift PWM technique. The paper deals with the analysis of some such advancements like particle swarm optimization techniques and is contrasted to pulse width modulation technique in terms of total harmonic reduction, feasibility, switching pattern of PWM techniques and efficiency. Due to the conventional PWM techniques the complexity of the increased number of elements and harmonics can be reduced with the particle swarm optimization technique and can also determine the optimized switching angles in reducing the selected harmonics. The simulations of the analysis are carried out in the Matlab and the same are presented in the paper which are indeed proved to be better for PSO in contrast to conventional PWM techniques.

Chemical Characterization and Physico Chemical Properties of Cashew nut (AnacardiumOccidentale) Oil and Cashew nut Shell Liquid

Authors: R. Govindaraju, G. Ramasamy

Proximate composition and mineral concentration of Cashew nut (Anarcadiumoccidentale) were investigated using standard analytical methods. The physicochemical characteristics of cashew nut shell liquid were also determined. The proximate composition (%) was as follows: moisture (7.2), ash (2.8), crude fat (49.1), crude protein (36.3), crude fibre (3.2) and carbohydrate (by difference) (1.4). The mineral composition (mg/100g) of cashew nut showed potassium (27.5 ± 0.4) to be the highest, calcium (21.5 ± 0.0), magnesium (19.3 ±0.1), sodium (8.2 ± 0.2) and phosphorous (14.0 ± 0.2). Zinc and iron concentrations were lower. The physicochemical properties of cashew nut oil were as follows: colour (yellow), refractive index (1.458), specific gravity (0.962), acid value (10.7mgKOH/g), saponification value (137mgKOH/g), iodine value (41.3mgiodine/100g) and free fatty acid (5.4mgKOH/g). This is an indication that the oil is non- drying, edible and may not be used for soap making. The CNSL extracted was dark brown in colour. Ash and moisture content (%) were: 1.2 and 3.9 (for IND species), and 1.3 and 6.7 (for AFR species). Specific gravity and refractive index were 0.941 and 1.693 (for IND variety), and 0.924 and 1.686 (for AFR variety). Saponification, acid, free fatty acid (mg KOH/g) and iodine (mg iodine/100g) values were (58.1, 12.1, 6.1, 215 respectively (for IND species) and 47.6, 15.4, 7.8, 235.(for AFR species). The investigation showed that CNSL is a drying oil and it is useful in industries for paints, varnishes and surface coatings.

When an infected individual coughs or sneezes, the Corona virus (COVID 19) is spread largely by saliva droplets or through the nose. Covid-19 is rapidly growing and poses a threat to humans. Medicine and vaccinations are in short supply. The methodology described has the potential to lower the number of people infected with the virus. Taking everyone's temperature at the same time and determining whether or not they are wearing a mask is tough. Security guards at shopping malls, schools, and other businesses are increasingly scrutinising public temperature readings before allowing them to enter their facilities. To keep a s Automatic detection of the aforementioned features will assist both the government and the general people. The report provided a remedy to the problem. The brochure promotes an automatic hand sanitizer with a temperature-detecting technology that allows users to sanitise their hands at any moment without touching the sanitizer. The temperature of the individual is displayed once this temperature sensor is touched. The door will automatically open if the body temperature is normal; otherwise, it will remain closed. Keep a safe distance from COVID patients and wash your hands frequently to kill the corona virus.

A common cryptographic basic, Searchable Encryption (SE), is used in the development of ciphertext retrieval systems that have a wide range of applications. Current SE methods, on the other hand, do not often provide threshold access control (i.e., data users must collaborate to perform search and decryption operations over encrypted cloud data), which is becoming more popular in the research community. Beginning with the most basic TMS scheme, we provide a Shamir's secret sharing technique for cloud-based group data sharing, which incorporates Threshold Multi-keyword Search (TMS) with Shamir's secret sharing technique to achieve threshold multi-keyword search, threshold decryption, and a small record ciphertext size. Then, we build on top of this fundamental TMS to provide threshold result verification as well as threshold traceability (referred to as enhanced TMS). Furthermore, the enhanced TMS has been upgraded to enable public result verification as well as dynamic operations using the public verifier and better hash tables, which are also included in the enhanced TMS package. Both the basic TMS and the improved TMS are semi-adaptively secure, and they can withstand the Chosen Keyword Attack, as shown by our rigorous security study (CKA). Our theoretical assessment and practical tests show that both systems have the potential to be beneficial.

OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHMS FOR HARMONICS MITIGATION IN CASCADED MULTILEVEL CONVERTERS: A REVIEW

Authors: Parul Gaur
Page No: 57-62
View Abstract
Recent advancements in the field of power electronics have made possible the worldwide application of converters in dc power source utilization, uninterruptible power supplies, electric motor speed control, switched mode power supplies, flexible alternating current transmission systems devices including static synchronous compensator and their controls. Power semiconductor devices such as converters have been emerged as powerful devices in the power industries. As such, harmonics free output of inverters is assuming extreme importance. Over the past decades, depending upon the topologies and control strategies, numerous optimization techniques have been proposed for desired output waveform. This paper presents a review of optimization techniques used for multilevel inverters. The pros and cons of optimization techniques are discussed. The objective of these optimization techniques is to find out the optimum firing angles of multilevel inverters, which results in minimum harmonics. As a preferred option for proposed work, reduction of total harmonic distortion with the aid of particle swarm optimization technique to multilevel inverters is suggested.
